Originally called Pro Deo Malta, the name was changed to Pro Deo International to represent our International agreement with foreign Universities and Higher Education Institutions, as well as better incorporate our branches available internationally.. We aim to integrate knowledge, research, industry experience as well as international exposure to offer comprehensive training programmes. With a small student-to-faculty ratio, students easily interact with lecturers as most lectures occur in small class sizes. With its Campus in Malta, PDIU provides training courses not only to people wishing to improve their knowledge but also to those who would like to start practical training in their chosen field. The services offered by Pro Deo will not be limited to local graduates, but will be extended to countries in the Mediterranean basin, Europe, Africa and the Middle and Far East, as well as Asia. Conscious of our public role, we will endeavour to create courses which are relevant and timely in response to the needs of the industry and social sector. The fundamental of everything we do is our philosophy of Providing Knowledge to our students. It's more than a marketing promise. It's the creed that gives purpose to PDIU’s mission of providing a modern and accessible education in the arts, sciences, security, management, humanities, medical and other professions. With good education, gender inequality can be eliminated, and poverty reduced, to reducing and ultimately removed. We aim to give our student the tools to help create a sustainable planet, to help prevent needless deaths and illnesses, and to further the frontier of science and technology. In our world of the 21st century, education is the new currency by which nations maintain economic competitiveness and global prosperity. Education is an investment, probably the most precious investment we can make. With a solid scientific - cultural – social tradition, PDIU has several Faculties and Departments: Archaeology, Arts, Architecture and Design, Development, Management and Business, Engineering, ICT, Hospitality and Tourism Studies, Language, General Certification Course, Psychology & Social, Medical Sciences, Biosciences and Veterinary Medicine, Complementary Medicine, Natural Pharmacology and Health, Phytotherapy and Nutrition, Theology & Philosophy. PDIU represents one of the most interesting and innovative Maltese realities, merit undoubtedly goes to the strength and momentum attributed to it by its rich history and the high aims given to us by the Knights of Malta. Malta and the PDIU express a single essence capable of evolving and facing the challenges of time while always remaining faithful to our values, principles and tradition. Although we have our roots in the past we are always looking forward for a better future and all of our tomorrows.
